Hey, You Drive Like It's 1985!

Speaking of 1985, '89ers like me began their Freshman year at Southwest HS that year. Although we wouldn't have our driver's license until the next year, we were sure trying to borrow the car anyway, weren't we?

But were we old enough to know that the Missouri Driver's Guide states that "if you can use your windshield wipers, your headlights should be on?" Did you also know that the furthest left lane on any highway is not the 'super fast lane,' it's the "passing lane" only?

Do you remember what was on the radio? Here's a clip of one of my faves:

"One Night in Bangkok" as told by Murray Head

Jeez, of all the names in the world...how about that? Actually, I was going to introduce a new section the Twisted Muse spit out from her innards just this afternoon. Instead, I found this little clip of a song we used to like. 1985 marked my Freshman year at Southwest High School and I had a great advantage! My sister was a Senior!! So I got to know a lot of them, hang out with them (Anna and me have always been very close), and sometimes I got to go out with them...well, maybe one or two.

Anyway, enjoy the clip.
